Uses: A rope end knot & especially for

Characteristics: See p.134. With great
strain on it this knot is said to be untrustworthy and,
in nautical language, "capsizes".(Burney p 25.)

Note: Some writers call a knot made as follows
a "Double Wall": Single Wall & Single Crown [slash?]
(p 141); then double wall (p 153) but do not [???]
crown. The result is really a Double Wall and
Single Crown. See Dava[?] 34 & Burney 39, who apparently
copies him. Bushell[?] omits; Kipping[??] gives a
picture (from Dava[?] ?) called "Walled Crowned & Walked,"
but does not describe.
