Put a stop on at oo & another at pp.
Then take the foxes of i and inter-
lace them with those to the right of
the stop at o of ii, one by one, over
& under, in a slanting direction with
the lay of the rope, ^ evenly, & if also possibly as tightly, as they
will go
until the whipping is worked
reached. Take off the two stops and
do the same with the foxes of ii. This
