Parcel Knot. This is often used as the 1st
knot in tying a parcel. Commence
as in fig 1. Then tuck a back through
the near part of the 2 coils. Pull on aa'
to tighten ; then pull on b to tighten b[Greek beta]'
round parcel, & finish tying as usual.
Parcel Knot. (1) 2-fold knot. (2) pass b up, down to
L & up again. Pull on a to tighten 2 fold. Strain
b & 12 hitch b round a above knot. (A & N. Stores 1914.)
