Boat mooring knot. (Thames. Henley 1906.)

Really a Sailor's Knot made with a
bight. Jam against ring.

If bight c is pulled back,
so as to make a bight with the
bight c, a double running Sailors
Knot results, undone with two pulls
(i) on c (ii) on a. This is very con-
venient in unmooring but requires
a long painter:-
