The cord described on p 135 is really
composed of 3 chains interlinked
& may be called a "Link cord".
The 4 pt p tubular plait is also
a Link cord, but the 6 pt Link
Cord is not tubular.
The 6 pt Link Cord may be
varied prettily by revolving the
bung with the hands of the
watch for 3 pairs & then against
the watch for 3 pairs, but
always crossing the whole lot
of cords in the same way.
Many changes may be rung
on the uniform pattern by
similar devices.
A tubular plait can be easily
formed round a "heart" or "core" passing
through the center of the bung, and
in many whip lashes this is done.
