Single Chain Knot. (cf p163.)
To make: Lay the cord as in the 2nd
figure & pull a bight through, thus
making an overhand running knot;
continue to pull bights through as
indicated in the 3rd figure, and
finally pull the end a right through
to finish off. Instead of doing this,
neither a nor b need to be pulled through
as shown in the 1st figure of the
complete knot, but only bights of
them with pins ^(toggles) inserted to prevent
them running out.
