(6) Another method of making this knot
for square mesh netting & big [??] work
is the following:-

Put a up through the mesh at o, lay
it in an S on the top of the meshes
As shown (fig 1.); pass it up through S, and
slip the knot down to o where the
bull loop cants over & forms the knot
shown in fig 2. (W.R. 3q2. Ii.B.) This process is em-
ployed in “netting on the fingers” as
fishermen call it. A mesh-pin is usually
employed, but may be dispensed with.
A needle is desirable. The method is a
much better & quicker one than no. 5.
