let the blue end follow its own part

it towards the right thhough the double
red bight, then up & to the left over the
doubled red bight again. Now [cant?]
the knot round so that the violet bight
& end are facing you & let the violet
follow its own part round; that is, pass
the end to the right up through the
doubled blue bight (over which the blue
end is now hanging); up to the left
over the red end & bight, and down on the
left under the doubled blue bight.
The ends now remain to be dealt
with. Perhaps the best method is to
put each end down through the opening
it has last been brought out at, and
then to tighten carefully, & finally cut
off the ends close under the knot ^or whip them to the rope [  ?].*
