Crown Matthew Walker^through Three Bights. : so-called by
me because it is made by crowning,
through instead of walling, through the
3rd bights.

(It is best to begin with a
single wall. Then Crown loosley. Then
carry each end ^on down through the
next bight. Then again ^down through the
next , i.e. its own. Let this knot
be below the level of the single wall
& lie round the laid up part. It
will be found to be a Matthew Walker
upside down, the ends lying pointing
downwards. (p146.B.)
