To make: Make three bights of the strands
and make a crown (as on p 141 fig3, without
the wall) by taking the red end through
the blue bight, the blue end through the
violet bight and the violet end through
the red bight, thus:-
Taking the ends round always in the direction
of the arrows, put the red end over the
violet standing part ^under the bue end & [struck out separately: under] ^behind its own^standing part; (fig. 3)the blue
end over the red standing part ^under the violent end & ^behind [struck out separately: under] [insert position not clear: ^over the red end]
