equal distances from one another.
The stops are merely to keep these
yarns in position and the object of
the yarns is to act as a prelimi-
nary marking later on. Then with
the [Deleted: rope] laid up rope beneath the
wood & under the centre between the
two stops, bring the two un laid halves
over on opposite sides of the wood
& across the longitudinal yarns. ^Half Knot
the two halves of the heart, or a few
yarns from opposite sides if there
