Double Eyes.

To make: As the Rope-maker's
eye, but have the two strands
distinct from one another. (pp.
251 ff.) The figure above represents
a double eye in process of being
formed in a shroud laid rope.
If greater strength is required an
eye must be made in some ordinary way
and another eye spliced in alongside.
