The figure should show 6 cords- not 4- as owing
to the twisting of the external cords, that of the RH & LH pair
is not the same as that of the interior cords.

To make: Make the foxes and
stretch the cross cord as directed on
p 53. The process of making is a
diagonal one, which has this ad-
vantage that all the loose ends are
held in position except the lower left
hand pairs, & these are either stopped
together or held with the left hand.
The foxes are put on one by one, &
the principle is to cross the parts
from the right in order over two other
parts, except that the outside foxes
one & two & one parts alternately.
The trick of the process is to take
the right hand part in the hand, push ^with the thumb,
hook the part to the left of that ^with the middle fingers across
to the right behind the first part
