With regard to width, foxes can be twisted
in on either side to increase the width
if the cross pieces have not been spliced,
and if they have they can easily be cut,
& fresh ones used. [Note: if in putting on
each new fox the Roman figure end were passed through
the bight of the left fox to the immediate left from the
front & a thin stretching cord
Uses: p. 69 used, the latter might be with-
drawn at the end, but per-
haps this would not be an improvement. It
might however be done with advantage even retaining the cord.]
Characteristics: It will be noticed
that in this form the part 1 forms
a straight selvage on the left, and
a similar selvage is formed by v(fig
16) or a the corresponding part of the right
hand fox on the right. In other re-
spects this form has the same cha-
acteristics as the other. (see p. 69.)
