Reef Knot braid. (I 202)
If on p 72 the knotting process is
continued with 1, 2, i & i i only, neglecting
3, 4, i i i & i v, a braid will result, often
used in ornamental cords etc.
Granny Knot braid. (I. 245)
By making grannies instead of
reef knots a braid of which the
edges wind round the central axis
is formed, also used for ornamental
purposes. It is made thus:-
