Note that Bushell ( p 30) says the warp (i e
the weft) should be passed from both ends at each
shedding of the warp, & he shows it wound on 2
bobbins in his illustrations.
* Let the top line of the weft be 6"
or more below the top rod.
Mat on single cord.
Can be made from any square number of
uprights & laterals, e.g. 9:-
The mat will be diminutive unless the cord is very
stout or some much greater square number is taken.
