To make: As a sheet-
bend, but draw a
bight of the short
end (c) through in-
stead of ^only the end
itself
Uses: To attach securely by a
knot which can be quickly undone.
For attaching gut casts in fishing (H.)
but I doubt it. For tying the lever
of a rudder (i.e. its tiller) in a
fixed position.
