To make: Proceed exactly as though
the snood (a b) was going to be
attached by an overhand running
knot, but take 2 turns round
the line &c. instead of one. Make
the usual overhand knot (fig 1),
and then turn the end a back
through it, thus converting it
into a running knot. (fig 2.)
Uses: In fishing to attach the
snoods to the line by a readily
undoable knot.
Characteristics: A curious example
of a draw overhand upon a [pencilled brackets] (draw over-
hand.) [pencil]slip knot
