two bights at the top are crossed
so as to cut one another if
possible. Convenience, however, over-
rides all these objections (See p 239.)
Tom Fools & Jury Knots can
be easily adapted to tying corks.
The two bights should be tied together
above the cork with a separate piece
of string, or made long enough to
be themselves tied.
