To make: Put on whipping no 2
(iii.3) but with sufficiently strong
rope & as few extra cross turns or so . Then
draw the sheer legs apart so that
they cross one another. This tightens
the lashing considerably & would break
it if carried too far.
Uses: to lash sheers.
Characteristics: iii.21. Derivation of
