Hosiery Knot I. Another way of making

This is the Blue "? Knot" on I. 72. [Deleted: N?].
It was used to make a fixed loop in
the commencement of tying a parcel
by one of Whiteley's men 6.7.1903 -
(The [Deleted: f] shopwalker called it a "Hosiery"
Knot. This knot may ^be made to run by management,
but left to itself, jams & forms a secure loop for parcels.
