the little fingers replace them. This
is because it is easier to take
off C by using the little fingers-

she now substitutes her middle
for her little fingers. M now takes
off & gets B ; [underline crossed out] N then takes off
& gets c ^in ; M takes off and gets A,
and now each has held & taken
off every figure. The game is
varied by repeating the process
upside down
