dering unlawful") concerns "the
wearing pilgrim garb & avoiding

par 2. [The Moslem] "may knot his tgae"
[loin cloth] "& tie it with a cord, &
he may gird his waist."
p. 232. par 3. [It is forbidden] "to knot
the Rida, or shoulder-cloth." [Never-
theless, says Burton, in spite of what
El Khatib [=
the [surname?] of name
by which Mohammed of Shirbin
is known] says the rida is
generally knotted at the right
side in the style "Nishah". See vol 3.
