Example of 3 rows plain garter stitch,
the first row being cast on as p.98 and
the 1st stitches on commencing the 2nd &
3rd row slipped purlways. (p.100. M.)

The figures 1, 3, 4 & 5 were drawn from
the actual work. They seem to show it
would be best not to begin slipping till the
position in 2nd row is finished
